  • Mandatory summer internship during their course of study to enhance their technical and research skills.
  • Science club - PG students of the Department are actively involved in discussion of latest development in various fields of Life Sciences though weekly interaction in Science club.
  • Green Army – The most successful and promising endeavour of the Department for safeguarding environment and wildlife by organizing awareness programs, bird count tree plantation, cleaning of polluted lakes and trekking programs for sustainable development.
  • Rural area visits for students in collaboration with CSA to promote holistic education.
  • Organisation of seminars and encouraging of students and faculty presentations.
  • Preparation and exhibitions of models and charts during science exhibitions to promote information interchange and awareness.
  • Organizing health awareness sessions like stem cell drive to compete with life threatening diseases like cancer.
  • Organizing interaction sessions with environmental scientists to deal with problems associated with global warming and climate change.
  • Guest lectures and technical talks are organised for students and faculties regularly.
  • Internships/Training programs/Workshops and Research projects to promote the practical and research skills of students.
  • Interactive sessions with industry experts to bring industry academia interaction.
  • Career counselling sessions to give insights on the current job market.
  • Field Visits and Industrial Visits to enhance class room learning and provide practical exposure.
  • Alumni interaction sessions with students to give insight on areas of higher education and career prospects.
